Tender Search Engines Compared 2026: TED, DTAD, Oferent, France Marchés, TendFeed & Co.

Which services find public tenders in the EU — and how do they differ? An overview by market, with criteria and data.

Last updated: 17 July 2026

Transparency: this overview is maintained by TendFeed (a service of AnalystHAUS GmbH). TendFeed is itself a provider on this list. Third-party details come from the providers’ public websites (as of July 2026). Not a ranking — grouped by market, alphabetically.

The official source for EU-wide tenders is TED (Tenders Electronic Daily) — free of charge and full-text searchable. If you search only occasionally, you do not need a paid tool.

Paid services therefore differ not in WHETHER they find tenders, but in HOW: additional national sources, freshness, alerts, languages, analysis of award data, and integrations. The criteria below make those differences comparable.

What to compare

  • Coverage: TED only (EU-wide) or additional national and municipal sources? Home market only or all EU countries?
  • Freshness: How quickly do new tenders appear in the service? Are there delays in the free tier?
  • Award data: Does the service analyse how many bidders comparable procedures had and who was awarded the contract — or does it only list open procedures?
  • Languages: In which languages are the interface and content usable? Relevant for bidding outside your home market.
  • AI and API access: Can the service connect to AI assistants (e.g. via MCP) or your own systems (API)?
  • Trial and price transparency: Is the price published on the website? Is there a free trial without payment details?

What the award data shows

How crowded the competition for public contracts really is can be measured. The TendFeed Study 2026 analysed 592,091 EU contract-award notices with a reported bidder count (TED, Nov 2023 – Jun 2026): 69% of the analysed awards had three bidders or fewer, 34% only a single bidder — the median bidder count across all sectors is 2.

Observed competition density is not a probability of winning. But it shows where a closer look is worthwhile — and that assessment is the core difference between a plain tender list and an analysis of award data.
